IDMS, Round #2, Mt. Hillary, 19/20 April!

Less than two weeks to go until the Irish downhill mountain bike series rolls into Mt. Hillary just outside Mallow, Co. Cork on the 19/20 of April, hosted by 021racing.

Mt. Hillary is notorious for being one of the most physical downhill tracks in Ireland and riders will be treated to a new top section and some interesting and alternative lines from the 2013 race track!

There will be practice all day on the Saturday with the racing taking place on Easter Sunday from 12pm.  So, expect to see Ireland’s fastest mountain bikers fighting it out for the points and the top step of the podium!  Don’t forget to pop by the 021racing pits and say hello!

Round 3 of the IDMS, Fairymount Farm, 24,25 August!

After a long break the IDMS is getting ready for round 3 on the weekend of August 24,25th in Fairymount Farm, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.

This is a fun and challenging DH track with a good mixture of terrain to test any rider.  The track is on private land and there is free camping on site also!

All the info for the event can be found here:  www.crcidms.com

021racing will be onsite with the full team pit set up and support.  The racing should be exciting, with plenty of 021racing riders fighting for the top spots in each category!

Irish Downhill National Mountain Bike Championships Postponed!!

The 2013 Irish DH National Mountain Bike Championships, due to be held in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary on the weekend of the 13/14 of July have been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the organisers control.

The rescheduled date is now the 12/13 of October to avoid clashing with any other races, events etc.  The venue is yet to be confirmed.   This has happened before, when the Championships were due to be held in Bray, Co. Wicklow, but the organisers ran into difficulty and the event was staged in Mt. Hillary, Mallow, Co. Cork in October of that year.

Only four and a half months to go,  plenty of time to get some extra training in!
